There are many activities that I love.
I love a good belly rub. I love a nice walk. I love a tasty treat. I love a snuggle on the bed.
I love sticks. I love barking. I love making friends.
I love carrying my toys around with me so Molly doesn’t take them. I love sitting next to my bone and just enjoying the fact that it is there. I love going for a ride in the car and putting my head out the sunroof.
I love hiking and I love the cold. I love snow.
I do not love frozen balls of ice that get stuck between my toes and make my feet hurt when I walk.
The other day, mom and I were out for a hike, and as we approached a small bit of open water, she told me to step on the rocks, not in the water.
I imagine this scene was much like when a human adult tells a human teenager to put on a jacket because it’s cold outside.
I stepped in the water.
You did not wear a jacket.
When I got to the top of the mountain, my toes were tingling.
You were most likely cold.
Funny how that goes.
Sometimes the answers to what we need are right in front of us.
I’m a dog, I love life, and I have flaws. I’m perfect. Imperfect. Just. Like. You.
