Two plus years ago mom and I decided to start a blog. Then we decided to write a book. Then we decided to make some clothing. Then we met some great people who helped us do all these things. Then our book came out. Then this crazy pandemic started. Then we weren’t able to do any of the book signing events we had planned. Then we got nervous because we had a lot of books and no one to read them. Then we used some social media and word of mouth. Then lots of our friends…and a few strangers bought our book anyway. Then friends…and a few strangers bought some of our clothing and other merchandise anyway. Then the pandemic was still here and we weren’t able to do any of our book signing events still. Then we got sad. Then we decided to persevere with Book Two Imperfectphil is Who I Am (due out in November). Then the sun came out. Then people started wearing masks and going back out in public. Then we signed up for some Farm Markets. Then we got invited to Kids Fest 2020. Then we went. Then friends and family and strangers came to our table. Then we sold lots of our books and clothing. Then we made a donation to an animal rescue because we finally had an event and sold some of our books and clothing. Then we realized that if we are patient and stay the course and refuse to panic… it will all work out.
Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us. Stay tuned for more updates to our online store, and keep your eye out for those Book Two previews!
I’m a dog, I love life, and I have flaws. I’m perfect. Imperfect. Just. Like You.
I read your post just before I left the house for my first day back to work, and your words made me smile as I walked out the door. Thank you Phil!!!
Thank you! Hope your day was a good one. Welcome back!
