Molly is my best friend. Molly is my sister. Molly is my protector, my co-conspirator, my confidante.
Molly plays with me every day. She keeps me safe from things that go bump in the night. She runs with me, cuddles with me, and hangs out on the porch with me. She never seems to grow tired of me. I love her.
When we walk down the sidewalk, people literally run out to tell mom how gorgeous i am (their words, not mine)…and then they look at Molly and say, and you’re pretty too! When mom and dad go out to dinner or visit a brew pub, they often take me with them and people ohh and ahh when we walk in. Molly usually stays at home. When mom and i pass joggers on the trail, they tend to pause to see me and compliment my coat or comment on how big my feet are. When mom and Molly pass joggers on the trail, they tend to swing wide, look sideways, or generally use caution.
I am nearly 140 pounds of giant sometimes out of control puppy. I run around with wild abandon. I lean into visitors and almost make them fall down. I don’t listen too well. I drool. Molly comes when called.
Molly is my best friend. Molly is my sister. Molly is my protector, my co-conspirator, my confidante. Molly never asks for anything from anyone, she just loves when people pet her, and she can sit for hours if they take the time to rub her ears.

Two years ago, mom and dad brought me home to be with Molly and I love her.
I’m a simple dog, so i can’t say exactly why people are drawn to me or afraid of Molly. Can you?
After all, i’m me, you’re you, she’s her, he’s him, they’re them, and we are all just us.
i’m a dog, i love life, and i have flaws. i’m perfect. imperfect. Just. Like. You.
Great message, book #2?
some people are too quick to judge on appearances… they aren’t always what they seem.
